Bali — A Quick Trip With My Brother And A Bestie
I've been to Bali a few times over the last couple of years. Twice in the last twelve months! But the last time I went was certainly the most memorable! I’d just returned home from another trip, and after 48 hours my feet were already tickling to explore again! So, I convinced Sam and a close friend of mine to come to Bali and we left the next day!
We stayed in the beautiful villas from Total Bali (@totalbali), hired a cheap moped, and explored both the coastline AND up in Ubud for a short but sweet five days!
The Ubud markets were really cool to experience, but became a little overwhelming after a few hours (one of us got a bit "hangry") so we headed for lunch in one of the countless (but extraordinary) eateries nearby. With some great healthy and filling food making our bellies smile again, we headed off to find the palm reader from Eat, Pray, Love. Even though he was asleep apparently, we got 15-minute palm reads from his son, which was pretty cool! Those five days we used to just catch up, relax and refresh!
I loved the regional feel of Ubud, the long, lazy-but-active days out exploring, the amazing company, and the perfectly exquisite accommodations with refreshing dips in the pool, relaxing in the shade, and long chats and sunning ourselves in the afternoons. Fresh coconuts in abundance and the kind-hearted souls of the Balinese people are a given for every trip to Bali.
Bali has captured my heart, and I will return again and again.
Love and Light,
